Daniel Moody drops 27 points as Aztecs men's basketball hands Glendale CC its first defeat

The Pima Community College men's basketball team (7-2, 2-2 in ACCAC) picked up a big win on the road on Wednesday against Glendale Community College (8-1, 3-1) in a match-up between two NJCAA Division II nationally ranked teams.
- The No. 11 ranked Aztecs handed No. 17 Glendale their first loss of the season after beating them 91-75.
- The Aztecs led 80-71 with 3:27 left but closed out the game on an 11-4 run.
- Sophomore Daniel Moody (Walden Grove HS) scored a team-high 27 points. He scored 16 points in the second half.
- Freshman Itury Kitt (Eastpointe HS) scored 11 of his 13 points in the first half while freshman Jalen Johnson added 13 points.
- Sophomore Chrishon Dixon finished with 11 points and freshman Traivar Jackson scored 10 points.
- "It was a good team win. Our strength is our bigs and we finally got the ball where we needed to," Pima men's basketball coach Brian Peabody said. "Beating a nationally ranked team will help our confidence moving forward."
- The Aztecs continue their road ways on Saturday when they play at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Tipoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
