NJCAA All-American Men's Golfer Daniel Henely signs to University of the Pacific
Pima Community College men's golfer Daniel Henely (Cienega HS) has decided to continue at the NCAA Division I level.
- Henely committed to play at the University of the Pacific, an NCAA Division I school in Stockton, California. The Tigers compete in the West Coast Conference.
- Henely played in three tournaments this season as he struggled with an injury. He tied for first place at the Chandler-Gilbert CC Invitational on Jan. 31 with a two-round total of 134 (68-66). He averaged a score of 72.5 after six rounds of play this season. Despite playing in just three tournaments, he was named to the NJCAA Division I All-West District Team.
- Henely became the first Pima men's golf NJCAA All-American since 2016 (at the time) after he tied for 14th place at the 2022 NJCAA Division I National Tournament. He took second place at the NJCAA Region I, Division I tournament after he fell to teammate Jay Shero in a tie-breaking playoff to decide the individual champion. He helped the Aztecs capture their first of back-to-back Region I, Division I team titles.
- He played in every tournament in 2022 and averaged a score of 71.0 in 20 rounds of play.
