Ishihara and Vega lead Aztecs men's soccer past Glendale

The Pima Community College men's soccer team (3-1) used five different goal scorers to beat Glendale Community College (1-3) on Saturday in Glendale.

  • Freshmen Itsuki Ishihara and Javier Vega each had a goal and an assist for the game. The Aztecs took a 2-0 lead at halftime and scored three unanswered goals in the second half to halt a Gauchos rally.
  • The Aztecs outshot the Gauchos 11-5. Freshman Nils Roth finished the game with three saves and sophomore David Silva had one save.

The Aztecs will be back on the road on Tuesday as they take on GateWay Community College at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex in Phoenix. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
