Aztecs women's golf finishes 18th at NJCAA National Championship

The Pima Community College women's golf team closed out the 2019 season on Thursday at the NJCAA National Championship.

  • The Aztecs finished in 18th place out of 19 teams in the final team standings. They had a total of 1209 (405-405-399).
  • Freshman Katelyn Hutchison (Cienega HS) posted the team's best score of the final round with a 93 as she finished tied for 84th place in the final individual standings with 290 (99-98-93).
  • Freshman Hallie Lawson (Campo Verde HS) closed out the tournament with a 95 and shot a three-day total of 296 (96-105-95).
  • Sophomore Elizabeth Satterfield (Ironwood Ridge HS) shot a 297 (101-98-98) while fellow sophomore Clara Solano (Tucson HS) finished with a 329 (112-104-113). Sophomore Julienne Gonzalez (Ironwood Ridge HS) had a 339 (109-116-114).

The Aztecs finished second in the final ACCAC conference standings this season and won their first regular season tournament since 2006.
