The Pima Community College women's soccer team (4-3, 4-3 in ACCAC) struck first but couldn't overtake Chandler-Gilbert Community College (5-1, 5-1) on Saturday as the No. 9 ranked Aztecs fell 3-1 on the road.
Sophomore Sonia Garcia (Sabino HS) put the Aztecs ahead 1-0 with her goal in the 14th minute. The Coyotes scored two goals in the first half to put the Aztecs behind 2-1 at halftime. Chandler-Gilbert scored an insurance goal early in the second half and the Aztecs couldn't catch up.
The Aztecs were out-shot for the game 13-8. Sophomore Daniela Sanchez (Sabino HS) finished the game with eight saves.
The Aztecs will be back at the Kino North Grandstand on Tuesday when they host Glendale Community College at 7:00 p.m.
