Urcadez Has a Goal and an Assist as Women's Soccer Beats South Mountain

The Pima Community College women's soccer team (8-4, 8-4 in ACCAC) dominated the second half on Tuesday against South Mountain Community College (0-12, 0-12).

The Aztecs broke open a first half tie with three goals to defeat the Cougars 4-1 in Phoenix.

Freshman Alexis Hernandez (Ironwood Ridge HS) put the Aztecs on the board in the 8th minute and gave Pima the lead for good with her second goal in the 59th minute.

Sophomore Maury Urcadez (Tucson Magnet HS) assisted in Hernandez's first goal and netted one of her own in the 79th minute to make it 3-1. Freshman Nereida Sanchez (Sahuaro HS) scored another insurance goal for the Aztecs in the 85th minute.

The Aztecs will hit the road again on Saturday when they play at Phoenix College. The women's team will be the first game as they start at 4:30 p.m.
