Pima Community College women's soccer player Litycia Espinoza (Sahuarita HS) has been named the Chapman Automotive Aztecs Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of January 24-30.

  • Espinoza, a sophomore midfielder, helped the Aztecs earn a runner-up finish at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in November. Espinoza maintained a 4.0 GPA during the fall semester. She majored in Radiology Technology and got her Liberal Arts degree in May. She also passed her EMT certification in December.
  • "She changed positions for us right before the playoffs due to a teammate's injury and kept a positive attitude and excelled through the playoffs," coach Kendra Veliz said.

She is working part-time as a Radiology Technician's assistant at TMC. During the soccer season, she worked at Hallmark in Green Valley.
