The Pima Community College volleyball team (6-5) played three matches on Friday as part of the Scottsdale CC Classic Tournament.
The Aztecs defeated Central Wyoming College in their first match of the day. After dropping the first set, Pima came back to win three straight to win the match in four games (20-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-21).
In their second match of the day, the Aztecs swept through Utah State University-Eastern in three sets 25-16, 25-14, 26-24.
The third match of the day was as close as it could get. The Aztecs had to play catch up and in the end fell to Spokane Falls Community College (WA) in five sets (25-21, 16-25, 28-26, 12-25, 15-13).
The Aztecs will close out the Scottsdale CC Classic Tournament tomorrow with two matches. They'll play Mesa Community College at 10:00 a.m. and Victoria College (TX) at 2:00 p.m.
