The Pima Community College volleyball team (16-14, 6-9 in ACCAC) played a couple of tight sets but fell short on the road at Glendale Community College.
The Aztecs were swept in three sets on Friday 25-23, 25-18, 25-23. They still hold the No. 4 spot in the ACCAC standings after Phoenix College lost against South Mountain Community College.
Sophomore Jamie Holliday (Sahuaro HS) led the Aztecs with 14 kills and nine digs while fellow sophomore Brooklyn Scarborough (Thatcher HS) finished with 11 kills. Sophomore Miranda Bingham (Safford HS) had 35 assists, 12 digs and three kills and sophomore Angel Chavez (Mingus Union HS) had 26 digs.
The Aztecs will close out the regular season next Friday, Oct. 30 against Chandler-Gilbert Community College. The match will be at the West Campus at 7:00 p.m.
