The Pima Community College volleyball team (0-1, 0-1 in ACCAC) opened the 2016 season on the road at Eastern Arizona College (1-0, 1-0) on Wednesday.
The Aztecs fell in straight sets 25-17, 25-17, 25-21.
Sophomore Victoria Davis (Sahuaro HS) finished the match with 14 kills and 13 digs while freshman Hannah Gerard (Canyon del Oro HS) had 14 assists and eight digs. Jamie Ricksecker (Pusch Ridge Christian HS) contributed with four blocks.
The Aztecs will compete in the NMMI Classic Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Roswell, NM. They'll open against the New Mexico Military Institute on Friday at 8:00 a.m. and then play Seward County Community College (KS) at 2:00 p.m.
