Pima Community College volleyball player Aydalis Felix (Rincon HS) was selected the Chapman Automotive Aztecs Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday for the week of Sept. 20-26.

  • Felix, a sophomore libero, played in four of the five matches last week finishing with 49 total digs. This is her third season with the Aztecs.
  •  "She is one of our team captains. As a sophomore, she takes a lot of responsibility as a leader for us; in terms of our volleyball responsibilities as well as our business off the court," Pima volleyball coach Dan Bithell said.
  • She works a part-time job at Tilly's and is involved in her community church at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
  • Felix was named an NJCAA All-Academic Third Team (3.60-3.79 GPA) student-athlete last season.
  • This award is open to all Pima student-athletes and is based on their athletic achievement, leadership among the coaches and peers and service to the community.

Representatives from Pima Athletics and Chapman Automotive compile nominations submitted by Pima coaches and make the selections.
