Sophomore Tianna Moseley became a two-time NJCAA All-American after she took eighth place in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.94 meters (39-feet, 2.25-inches). The Aztecs took 24th place at the NJCAA Division I National Championships with a score of 9.33 points. The Pima Community College women’s track & field team closed out the 2024 season on Saturday in the final day of competition at the NJCAA Division I National Championships.

Freshman April Necaise tied for eighth place in the High Jump with a mark of 1.63 meters (5-feet, 4.25-inches). The Aztecs are in 15th place with 8.33 points after the second day of competition at the NJCAA Division I National Championships. The Pima Community College women’s track & field completed the second day of competition at the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Friday at Brown Stadium in West Monroe, LA.

Freshman Morgan Pepe (Ironwood Ridge HS) broke a Pima Outdoor school record and took second place in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.82 meters (12-feet, 6.25-inches). She broke Jaida Olson's record of 3.80 meters (12-5.50) set in 2022. Photo courtesy of Chad Harrison

The Pima Community College women’s track & field team closed out the first day at the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Thursday at Brown Stadium in West Monroe, LA.

The Women's High Jump group secured 24 points as freshmen April Necaise and Ja'Niya Ross tied for first place while fellow freshman Izzy Green took third place. They all cleared 1.68 meters (5-6). The Pima Community College women’s track & field team closed out competition at the Region I Championships on Thursday at Mesa Community College.

Freshman Morgan Pepe (Ironwood Ridge HS) captured the Region I title in the Pole Vault as she finished with a mark of 3.72 meters (12-feet, 2.50-inches) on her first attempt. The Pima Community College women’s track & field team competed in the first day of the Region I Championships on Tuesday at Mesa Community College.

Freshman Maylee Thompson (Willcox HS) finished fourth in the Heptatlon with 4081 points while freshman Mariah Cruz (Mountain View HS) placed fifth in the 10,000 meters race with a time of 46:26.09. The Pima Community College women’s track & field team began postseason competition on Monday and Tuesday at the Region I Multi’s Championships held at Mesa Community College.

The Pima Community College women’s track & field team opened the 2024 Outdoor Season as it set five new NJCAA Outdoor Season national qualifying times/marks at the University of Arizona Spring Break Fiesta and the Mesa Multi’s this weekend.

The Pima Community College women’s track & field team closed out competition at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships on Saturday at the Alachua Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, FL.

Freshman Maylee Thompson (Willcox HS) took fifth place and earned four team points in the Pentatlon with a score of 3002 points. It was a personal-best and also placed her fourth in the Pima Indoor all-time school records. The Aztecs are tied for 18th place in the team standings with four points. The Pima Community College women’s track & field team closed out the first day of competition at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships on Friday at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, FL.

Sophomore Trinity Bethea broke her own indoor school record in the 400 meters with a time of 57.72 while freshman Reatta Danhof (Ironwood Ridge HS) broke the indoor school record in the 800 meters at 2:24.19. Freshman Roxy Christensen set a national qualifier in the Triple Jump at 11.45 meters (37-6.75). The women's team finished with 12 national qualifying marks and times during the Indoor Season. The Women's Distance Medley Relay team of freshmen Linda Rivero, Tayler Crane, Alyssa Perez and Reatta Danhof earned an NJCAA Indoor national qualifying time of 13:04.72.
