Pima Community College baseball player Nolan Ganter (Pinnacle HS) produced strong games at the plate during the week of Mar. 23-29.

Sophomore Nolan Ganter finished out the day going 4 for 9 with three RBIs and four runs scored while freshman Brady Hall picked up his first win of the season after a relief appearance in the second game as the No. 16 ranked Aztecs Baseball team swept Yavapai College in non-conference action. The Pima Community College baseball team (35-9) came away with two wins on Tuesday in a non-conference doubleheader against Yavapai College at the West Campus Aztec Baseball Field.

Freshman Amerika Lopez-Bedoy (Sunnyside HS) finished 6 for 8 with eight RBIs while freshman Belen Camacho got the win in the circle and homered to help her own cause as No. 11 ranked Aztecs Softball swept Central Arizona College to snap their four-game skid. The Pima Community College softball team (35-5) got back in the win column on Tuesday as it hosted a non-conference doubleheader against Central Arizona College (7-21) at the West Campus Aztec Softball Field.

Freshman Jackson Glueck homered in the first game and finished 6 for 7 with seven RBIs and three runs while sophomore Caden Richards went 4 for 7 with four RBIs and five runs as the No. 14 ranked Aztecs scored 26 runs to sweep Glendale Community College. The Pima Community College baseball team (33-9, 19-9 in ACCAC) put on an offensive display on Saturday in its ACCAC conference doubleheader against Glendale Community College (14-26, 5-21) at the West Campus Aztec Baseball Field.

Freshman Taylor Brown and Jake Applegate improved on their NJCAA Outdoor national qualifying times while the women's Heptathlon trio of Layla Konski, Hannah Droeg and Maylee Thompson all qualified with their totals at the Mesa Multi's and the Cody McBride Invitational in Phoenix. The Aztecs will compete at the Triton Invitational next Friday and Saturday in La Jolla, CA.

The Pima Community College men’s and women’s track & field teams had a busy weekend competing at the Distance in the Dark, Mesa Multi’s and the Cody McBride Invitational this weekend in Phoenix.

The Pima Community College softball team (33-5, 23-5 in ACCAC) played a pair of tight games on Saturday but fell short at Phoenix College.

Freshman Jiselle Nunez (Tucson Magnet HS) finished the second game going 3 for 3 with two home runs, four RBIs and two runs scored but the No. 5 ranked Aztecs Softball dropped two games at South Mountain Community College on Thursday snapping their 14-game winning streak and are now 33-3 overall and 23-3 in ACCAC conference play. The Pima Community College softball team (33-3, 23-3 in ACCAC) had a tough day at the office on Thursday in its ACCAC conference doubleheader at South Mountain Community College (24-12, 17-7).

Sophomore RHP Lucas Casey (Canyon del Oro HS) was named ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday for the previous week of Mar. 16-22. He pitched a five-inning complete game, giving up four hits with eight strikeouts and three walks in Pima's win over GateWay Community College on Mar. 18. The Pima Community College baseball team (30-8, 16-8 in ACCAC) picked up its 30th win of the season on Saturday as it earned a sweep on the road at Scottsdale Community College (19-14, 9-12).

The No. 1 seeded Aztecs Men's Basketball team earned third place at the NJCAA Division II Tournament after beating No. 7 Kalamazoo Valley Community College 103-88. The Aztecs close out the 2024-25 with a new program record of 35-1. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team closed out a historic 2024-25 season on Saturday in the final day of the NJCAA Division II National Tournament at the Mary Miller Center in Danville, IL.

Freshman Taylor Brown (male picture to the right) broke the Pima Outdoor school record in the 200-meter race with a time of 21.11. He broke a 24-year record held by Jeff Garner set at 21.21 back in 2001. The Pima Community College women’s basketball season came to a close on Saturday in the NJCAA Division II National Championship game.

The No. 1 seeded Aztecs Men's Basketball team had their 34-game winning streak snapped as they fell to No. 4 Parkland College 95-74 in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament Semifinal round. Sophomore Cohenj Gonzales (Mesquite HS) had a team-high 21 points while sophomore Wes Ball (Marana HS) finished with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (34-1) suffered its first defeat of the 2024-25 season on Friday in the NJCAA Division II National Semifinal round.

The No. 6 seeded Aztecs Women's Basketball advanced to the NJCAA Division II National Championship game after winning an overtime thriller 115-112 over No. 2 Baltimore CCBC Essex. Kiley Sours-Miller led the way with 31 points and nine rebounds while freshman Kennedi Niemann scored nine of her 17 points in the extra period.
