Aztecs Volleyball falls in straight sets at No. 9 Scottsdale CC

The Pima Community College volleyball team (11-10, 8-4 in ACCAC) faced a tough road test on Wednesday as it played at Scottsdale Community College (14-2, 11-2).

• The Aztecs fell in straight sets to the No. 9 ranked Artichokes 25-18, 25-17, 25-14. The teams have split their two meetings so far this season as the Aztecs won the first matchup in five sets on Sept. 13 at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. The teams will play each again on Nov. 1 to close the regular season.
• Sophomore Haylee Gilleland (Flagstaff HS) closed out the match with a team-high 13 kills and also had one block. Fellow sophomore Kenna Simon finished with five kills and one block.

The Aztecs will return to the Aztec Gymnasium on Friday when they host No. 22 ranked Glendale Community College at 7:00 p.m.
