Pima Community College softball players Natalya Rivera (Sunnyside HS) and Arianna Flores (Salpointe Catholic HS) put on a display during the week of Feb. 9-15 as accolades came from the NJCAA and ACCAC.

Freshman Clarissa Figueroa (Mountain View HS) went 3 for 7 with five RBIs and a run scored while fellow freshman Amerika Lopez-Bedoy finished the day 3 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored as the No. 15 Aztecs Softball team swept Chandler-Gilbert Community College 11-0 and 12-3 in run rule wins. The Pima Community College softball team (16-0, 12-0 in ACCAC) continued its stellar start to the season as it played an ACCAC conference doubleheader on Tuesday at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (2-10, 2-6).

Sophomore Natalya Rivera (Sunnyside HS) hit three home runs and had six RBIs while freshman Arianna Flores (Salpointe Catholic HS) threw a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts and three walks as the No. 15 ranked Aztecs swept Scottsdale Community College 5-0 and 10-2 ending their eight-game winning streak. The Pima Community College softball team (14-0, 10-0 in ACCAC) handed Scottsdale Community College (8-2, 4-2) its first two defeats of the season on Friday in an ACCAC conference doubleheader.

Freshman Jiselle Nunez went 8 for 12 (.667 batting average) with 11 RBIs and seven runs scored as she was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week while freshman Arianna Flores pitched nine innings, giving up no earned runs with 23 strikeouts as she earned her third straight nod as ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-8. The Pima Community College softball team was well represented as the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference released its Player and Pitcher of the Week awards for the week of Feb. 2-8.

Sophomore Natalya Rivera (Sunnyside HS) went 5 for 7 with three RBIs, two runs scored and a home run while freshman Belen Camacho picked up one of the wins in the circle as the No. 15 Aztecs Softball team swept No. 25 South Mountain Community college 7-6 and 9-7. The Pima Community College softball team (12-0, 8-0 in ACCAC) faced a tough test on Tuesday as it faced off against South Mountain Community College (6-7, 3-3) at the West Campus Aztec Field.

Freshman Jiselle Nunez was a flawless 4 for 4 with five RBIs, three runs and a grand slam in the first game while sophomore Natalya Rivera was 4 for 5 with four RBIs and four runs in two games as the No. 15 Aztecs softball team scored 36 runs to beat Paradise Valley Community College. Pima softball duo Natalya Rivera (Sunnyside HS) and Arianna Flores (Salpointe Catholic HS) were named ACCAC Division II Player and Pitcher of the Week. Rivera went 8 for 12 with nine RBIs, six runs, four doubles and two homers in the first four games while Flores pitched nine and one-third innings with 16 strikeouts and two shutout relief appearances. Sophomore Natalya Rivera (Sunnyside HS) finished 6 for 7 with four RBIs and four runs scored while freshman Belen Camacho (Pueblo HS) earned a win and a save as the No. 15 ranked Aztecs softball team won their first games of the season at the College of Southern Nevada Kickoff classic beating Utah State University-Eastern 9-7 and No. 8 ranked College of Southern Idaho (Division I) 12-9.
