The Pima Community College softball team (16-0, 12-0 in ACCAC) continued its stellar start to the season as it played an ACCAC conference doubleheader on Tuesday at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (2-10, 2-6).

The Pima Community College softball team (14-0, 10-0 in ACCAC) handed Scottsdale Community College (8-2, 4-2) its first two defeats of the season on Friday in an ACCAC conference doubleheader.

Freshman Jiselle Nunez went 8 for 12 (.667 batting average) with 11 RBIs and seven runs scored as she was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week while freshman Arianna Flores pitched nine innings, giving up no earned runs with 23 strikeouts as she earned her third straight nod as ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-8. The Pima Community College softball team (12-0, 8-0 in ACCAC) faced a tough test on Tuesday as it faced off against South Mountain Community College (6-7, 3-3) at the West Campus Aztec Field.

Freshman Jiselle Nunez was a flawless 4 for 4 with five RBIs, three runs and a grand slam in the first game while sophomore Natalya Rivera was 4 for 5 with four RBIs and four runs in two games as the No. 15 Aztecs softball team scored 36 runs to beat Paradise Valley Community College.
