Pima Community College men’s soccer coach David Cosgrove agreed to be the new leader for FC Tucson on Wednesday.

Sophomore midfielder Luisangel Hernandez signed his letter of intent to play at Ottawa University Arizona. Hernandez will join teammate Julian Gaona to play for the Spirit next fall. He played in 13 games this season as the Aztecs went a combined 37-8-4 in two years. Photo by Raymond Suarez

The Pima Community College men's soccer program will hold a Spring ID Camp on Friday and Saturday, March 2-3 at the Pima West Campus (2202 W. Anklam Rd. Tucson, AZ 85709). The camp will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Those participating MUST attend ALL sessions.

The Pima Community College men?s soccer team (19-4-3) has earned a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament semifinals after beating St. Louis Community College on Wednesday at Mountain Valley Field.

The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (17-4-3) will be the No. 8 seed at next week’s NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Prescott.

The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (17-4-3) couldn’t find the answer to Yavapai College once again on Saturday in the NJCAA West District finals.

Sophomore Julian Gaona scored the golden goal in the 98th minute as the No. 8 ranked Aztecs beat Otero Junior College 2-1 in the NJCAA District I Semifinals. The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (17-3-3) advanced in the District I Tournament and punched its ticket to the NJCAA Division I Tournament.

Freshman Hugo Kametani scored for the Aztecs in the 40th minute to tie the game but the Aztecs fell short of their fourth straight Region I, Division I title in their 2-1 loss to No. 2 Yavapai College.
