The Pima Community College Athletics program topped its best total of individual student-athletes for the second straight year and had one team named as NJCAA All-Academic.

Alliyah Bryant (Mesquite HS) committed to play at Texas A&M International University, an NCAA Division II school in Laredo, TX. She was named NJCAA All Academic Third Team. Pima Community College women's basketball player Alliyah Bryant (Mesquite HS) committed to play at the next level and will join a fellow teammate.

Aztecs women's basketball coach Todd Holthaus will be inducted into the Flowing Wells Sports Hall of Fame on Sept. 14. Pima Community College women's basketball player Piper Mali (Ironwood Ridge HS) signed her letter of intent to continue her collegiate career at the four-year school level.

Pima Community College women’s basketball player Jacqulynn Nakai (Coconino HS) got invited to a weekend event in July for a select group.

Freshman Jacqulynn Nakai (Coconino HS) was named first team NJCAA All-American on Wednesday becoming the seventh NJCAA All-American for coach Todd Holthaus. she averaged 17.3 points, 6.7 assists and 5.8 rebounds during the season. Photo by Ben Carbajal

The Pima Community College women’s basketball program will add another name to the rafters as the Aztecs were represented in the NJCAA All-Americans list on Wednesday.

Sophomore Aubre Fortner was a bright spot for the Aztecs as she finished with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds. The Aztecs' season came to an end on Saturday as they fell to Mesa Community College 76-61 in the Region I, Division II Finals. The Aztecsclose the season with a 23-9 overall record. Pima Community College women’s basketball player Jacqulynn Nakai (Coconino HS) earned a title from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association that has never been bestowed upon a Pima women’s basketball player.

The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (23-8) advanced to the NJCAA Region I, Division II championship round after trouncing Glendale Community College on Tuesday at the West Campus Gymnasium.

Freshman Jacqulynn Nakai (Coconino HS) was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Year on Wednesday. She was also selected first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region I, Division II. The Arizona Community College Athletic conference released its awards for All-Conference and All-Region on Wednesday.

The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (22-8, 16-6 in ACCAC) closed out the regular season on Tuesday with a statement win over a Division I opponent.

The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (21-8, 15-6 in ACCAC) could not stop a rally from Mesa Community College (23-6, 18-3) in the fourth quarter on Saturday at the West Campus Gymnasium.
