Freshman Daniel Henely (Cienega HS) became the first Aztecs men's golfer to earn NJCAA All-American honors since 2016 after he finished the NJCAA Division I National Championship tied for 14th place with a four-day total of 289 (75-73-70-71). The Pima Community College men’s golf season came to a close on Friday after the final round at the NJCAA Division I National Championships in Odessa, TX.

Freshmen Daniel Henely (Cienega HS), Max Krueger (Salpointe Catholic HS) and Jay Shero each shot a 2-under par 70 on the day as the Aztecs moved to a tie for 14th place in the team standings with a three-day score of 893 (308-300-285). Photos by Raymond Suarez

The Pima Community College men’s golf team continues to move up the team and individual standings after Thursday’s round at the NJCAA Division I National Championships.

The Pima Community College men’s golf team produced an improved collective round on Wednesday in the second day of the NJCAA Division I National Championships.

The Pima Community College men’s golf team hits the links for the first round of the NJCAA Division I National Championship on Tuesday at the Odessa County Club in Texas.

The Aztecs Men's Golf team captured the program's sixth NJCAA Region I, Division I Championship on Sunday at the Corte Bella Golf Course in Sun City West, AZ; the first for head coach Marcus Smith. The Aztecs took five of the seven spots in the All-Region Team. The Pima Community College men’s golf team claimed the NJCAA Region I, Division I Championship on Sunday at the Corte Bella Golf Course in Sun City West, AZ.

Freshman Daniel Henely (Cienega HS) took the lead after the third round of play at the NJCAA Region I, Division I Championships. He shot a 4-under par 67 and has a collective score of 212 (73-72-67). The Pima Community College men’s golf team completed its first two rounds of play at the NJCAA Region I, Division I Championships on Thursday and Friday at the Corte Bella Golf Course in Sun City West, AZ.

The Aztecs men's golf team finished third at the Paradise Valley Invitational on Tuesday with a two-day score of 584 (297-287). Freshmen Jay Shero (74-71-145) and Andrew Rivas (77-70-147) shot season-best rounds while Daniel Henely tied his season-best score with a 146 (71-75). The Aztecs compete at the NJCAA Region I, Division I Tournament in Sun City West, AZ on April 28-May 1. The Pima Community College men’s golf team closed out the regular season on Tuesday at the Paradise Valley CC Invitational held at the Hillcrest Golf Course in Sun City West, AZ.

Freshman Max Krueger (Salpointe Catholic HS) earned second place in the individual standings for the second straight tournament as he finished the Eastern Arizona College Invitational with a 3-under par 141 (71-70). The Pima Community College men’s golf team competed in its second tournament of the season at the Chandler-Gilbert CC Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Apache Creek Golf Course in Apache Junction, AZ.

Aztecs men's golf freshman Daniel Henely (Cienega HS) became the first Pima men's golfer since 2016 to win a regular season individual championship after he took the top spot at the Mesa CC Invitational on Thursday.
